Current Event Presentation Project

With everything going on in the world now, it is important for our students to explore current events and connect them to their own life, class, or other points in history! This assignment sheet in rubric will allow students to dive into one current topic and be assessed on their presentation, depth of the article they choose, the connections they make either to their generation or the class, and prove this topic has global significance. It also includes a questioning phase at the end of each presentation where two students in class are randomly called on to ask a higher order thinking question to the presenter, this way all students are prepared and engaged.
