Description
This Cupcake War Competition Lesson is a delicious and exciting baking activity to do with your middle school and high school Family and Consumer Science and Life Skills cooking students. This EASY PREP and BUDGET FRIENDLY lesson students will learn food preparation, follow a recipe, teamwork, learn new baking techniques, and learn time management skills. Students are placed into groups of three or four and compete in a cupcake competition. Each group will choose a cupcake and frosting recipe to use and create to be presented to a group of judges.
I have included printable (and editable) certificates for different cupcake awards. These awards include, first place, second, place, third place, best decorated cupcake, best piping, and more.
All the hard work is done for you, all you must do is print the EASY PREP pages, purchase the ingredients, organize the ingredients (food) by lab groups and watch your students have fun as they make decide how to decorate their cupcakes.
