What educators are saying

My students loved this slide presentation! They were extremely engaged and asked so many great questions. Thank you so much! I would love to use these for all regions of the world! I would purchase them all if they were available!

Description

This is a set of pdf slides that can be used as a PowerPoint or Nearpod Presentation. This includes information regarding the culture of the Middle East and North Africa. Students will learn about the religion, clothing, food, economies, language, art/architecture, and every day life of the people living in the region today.

There are links to video clips that would be appropriate to show students while they are learning the material. Links are found at the end of the document.

Going through the notes with students should take about 2 class periods. Culture always sparks interest and discussion among students. Some things students will learn from this set of notes: What do Muslim women wear on their wedding day, or while swimming? What are the dietary laws Muslims and Jews follow? How do economies among the countries vary?

Tip: Have them make a KWL while taking notes (what you KNOW about this topic, what you WANT to know, and what you LEARNED) for assessment.
