This crime scene activity involves a crime, suspects, evidence and an evidence collection packet for students. Students have an opportunity to exercise those important CCLS skills of evaluating evidence with this engaging lesson. Included in this 44 page packet is everything you need to get started. Includes: The scenario, the suspects and suspect biographies, the evidence collected at the scene, transcripts for suspect statements (you can podcast them if you wish) as well as all of the evidence to be evaluated. Packet also includes links for enrichment and teacher suggestions for improved reality of the lesson. This is listed as an ELA lesson because included are 5 options for response. Students can repond in an essay style (citing evidence) they can respond through projects. Even a narrative writing opportunity is included as student re-create the night of the event.
