Fun, creative, and educational project for Social Studies! Students have just conquered a Medieval town! Congratulations on their conquest! But now their empire’s REIGN begins...

Students will LOVE being in charge of their own nation, this is a great chance to build self-expression, presentation skills, and a fun way to use vocabulary and study European geography. Project based learning creates a lifetime love of learning, not just for this unit of history, but for your classroom, leadership, and they hold onto the memories of creating this empire for years to come.

Students have to thoroughly plan, consider repercussions, create unity and "branding" of their nation, and decide how to rule, maintain order, social structures, and so much more. You can expand an endless array of options by adding details to the instructions verbally.

Students write at the end of the year their feedback and this assignment always tops the list of most enjoyable projects. They really love sharing their finished posters and projects.
