Crankenstein Phonemic Awareness Game Show-Halloween/Fall GC
What educators are saying
Description
Crankenstein by Samantha Berger Phonemic Awareness Jeopardy style game show! Read Crankenstein (my favorite Fall/Halloween book) or watch the video on SafeShare here . This is fun, interactive practice for your Kinder to 2nd Grade students (tho older students would still enjoy this!). With 25 practice problems, in a game show setting, your students will get lots of review.
This download INCLUDES a copy for Google Classroom! Great for Distance Learning. The GC version does not include scoring and the point values do not disappear...this is just a limitation of Google Slides. However, the fun and learning are STILL THERE!
In THIS game show, the teacher is expected to READ the question choices to the students as there will be words that may be above their reading level. They should still be able to play the game if it is read to them.
✅Game Show categories include:
✤Words in a Sentence (students count how many words are in the sentence)
✤Rhymes (st tells if the two words shown are rhyming words ie: think/stink)
✤Alliteration (st says which word has a different initial sound. ie: hate, has, syrup, horrible)
✤Syllables (st tells how many syllables are in the word. ie: popsicles)
✤Onset-Rime (teacher reads both parts of a word and st says the word. ie: m-eet)
You AND your kids are going to love choosing which "contestants" team they are on. When you get the correct answer, just click on your contestants check mark to award points.
Just click F5 or Slideshow to start the game! If you have a Mac, please pass on this product.

Then, of COURSE you'll want to leave some love so you'll get credits for future TpT purchases! Also, let me know which contestants you'd like to see on the show!
If you have a smartboard or any other type of interactive whiteboard, you can also use the projection from those and just use the interactive portion without having to convert the file to whatever it is you use! If you're able to "play" a regular powerpoint, you should be able to play this one too!
