Used this for review for state testing. Loved how many variations there were. Great for small groups and even used them for a "scoot", which the kids loved.
Description
This product is teacher-approved and student-tested. The need for this product developed after observing our 4th graders struggle with expository writing. Also, knowing that this is the first year they are exposed to expository writing and tested on it made it even more important to us. Not only will students practice noticing and/or writing good topic sentences, but it will also allow them to see well supported expository paragraphs. You will find 3 different activities in this unit:
-Topic Sentence vs Supporting Sentence Task Cards
-Independent practice with multiple choice topic sentences
-Independent practice with open ended topic sentences
