Description

It's more important than ever to prioritize and promote emotional wellness and carve out time to integrate Social Emotional Learning into the curriculum - how to manage emotions and relationships, and understand their effect on well-being.

Life as we know it has changed dramatically, with instability, lack of control and loss of freedom, it naturally prompts feelings of fear, anxiety, anger, frustration, grief, sadness and loneliness. These complex combinations of feelings are difficult to process and manage, and is taking a toll on our overall well-being. Imagine what it's like for children and teens!

We need to open the dialogue now and provide a platform for students to discuss these complex and often intense emotions. It is especially critical for those that don’t have anyone to turn to, or don’t feel comfortable opening up to those in their lives.

As the saying goes, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
