Cooking Methods Puzzle Activity

This activity is a great way to either review or to teach dry, moist, and combination cooking methods. This activity is geared towards the Utah Strands and Standards in the course of Culinary 1, but can be used towards many FCS classes like CCA, FACS Exploration, all Culinary classes, etc. The students will have to match the 4 puzzle pieces to make a complete cooking method square.

In my classes, I printed these out on white card stock in color ink for the pictures, cut the pieces out, and laminated each piece (for longer use). I did a set for a partnership of students, so one set per two students. This activity can be a quick 10 minute review or a 30 minute starter into the lesson. I have done both and students really enjoy this.
