What educators are saying

My students loved this activity and there were engaged and determined to find out who stole the cookies.
This was a great tool to help with my crime scene room transformation, the students really enjoyed the lesson as a result of using this very resourceful product.

Description

BEST SELLER ALERT!

Lead your students on an engaging, hands-on, inference-making journey using this crime scene investigation!

Students will come back to the classroom, which has been the scene of a crime! Their teacher (you, of course!) baked two-dozen cookies to share with the class this afternoon. However, while away from the classroom, someone came into the room and stole those cookies after snacking on one of them him or herself!

By planting clues in your classroom and creating a crime scene, students will be forced to use their investigation skills to draw inferences regarding WHO was here, WHY that person was here, and WHAT that person did!

INCLUDED

- Lesson Plan

- Invitation

- Teacher Note Sheet

- Student Packet (4 pages)

- Clue Key

- Example Classroom Crime Scene Setup

I created this lesson to practice making inferences with elementary school students. The level of engagement was extremely high and students were talking about their inferences for days afterwards! A super fun, wonderful activity for all! The memories students made through this lesson will last for years to come!
