Description

Students will research topics in genetics and conduct a formal debate. Students will be placed on teams to defend the pro or con side of a particular genetic topic. The stance that students will be defending, may not align with their personal beliefs. Suggested topics could include: gender selection, genetically modified organisms (GMO,s) gene selection theory and genetic engineering. Students will be assigned a variety of roles during the debate process

TEACHER PREP:

Provide students the ability to conduct research to provide accurate information use in the debate. Notecards, blank paper and pencils will be needed
