Constitution Partner Plays: 5 Scripts with a Comprehension Check Worksheet

Do you want to keep your students engaged as they learn interesting facts about the United States Constitution? These five partner plays are intended to be used as fluency-building activities that students can read with a partner. This set of scripts focuses on the history of the U.S. Constitution. This set of partner plays could be read on Constitution Day or when your students are learning about how our Founding Fathers devised the Constitution.

It also includes a BONUS comprehension worksheet. After reading each script, students answer two or three comprehension questions that accompany that particular script.

These scripts require minimal teacher support, thereby allowing teachers to work with other small groups. For teachers who implement reading centers, these plays are perfect. These scripts are also ideal for parents who are looking for fun at-home reading activities that parents and children can read together. If you have a child who is reluctant to read at home, I encourage you to give these scripts a try!

This resource is available in multiple formats. Each teacher gets to choose the format that best meets his/her students' needs. You will choose between the printable partner plays and the paperless version that uses Google Slides. Each script is exactly two pages, making it easy to print them back-to-back on a single page.
