Description

Practice composing and decomposing 2D shapes in a fun and engaging way with these 'Connect 3' game boards!

These composing and decomposing 2D shape game boards are perfect to laminate and put in a center, use as a math warm up, send home as homework, have on hand for sub plans, use as interventions, or for morning work! Laminate and use with dry erase markers for repeated use!

This would also be perfect to open on your Smart or Activeboard and do as a whole class review.

Learners will color circles beside and on top of each other starting at the bottom of the board as you would in a real game of 'Connect 4' while saying the shape name aloud. The first team or player that gets 3 shapes in a row where the 1st shape is composed of the next 2 shapes wins! There are 4 possible ways to make it on each game board!

There are 2 different game boards (with answer keys) and a way to play with a harder variation or an easier variation to meet the needs of your learners!

An answer key is included to print on the back of the game board or have in a separate place for student use to check thier work.
