**This file has been updated as 0f 2/22/15. QR reader matching game added, as well as two organizers and a vocabulary book. I will be adding multiple choice questions as well, please look nfor the next update.
Teachers in the schools I have worked in always ask why the students know the answers to questions in class, but fail classroom and standardized tests. Speaking with my students and analyzing questions on the tests made me realize that many of our students do not understand the questions because of the vocabulary in them. My students have difficulty understanding questions where they need to defend or justify their answer, illustrate or diagram, outline, summarize, or paraphrase. The words in this product have been selected carefully from discussions with regular and special ed teachers.
You can cut words and definitions out separately and have students match them, or cut into strips (word and definition side by side), fold, and glue together to make flash cards.
Pages 4-8 Flash cards for vocabulary words.
Pages 9-12 Pre/post test
Page 13 Data sheet
Pages 14-16 Organizer, includes a blank and a sample to use. You can make this into a book with the cover on page 14, or you can add these to your own vocabulary books for each student. I have a binder as part of my evidence for each student, and these are added to them for the students to fill out and use during therapy.
Page 17 Chart if you want less space taken up. You can use this for pretest data, then for students to bring home for homework.
Pages 18-21 QR code match up game. Read the definition on the iphone graphic, then scan with your own QR code reader app to check.
