Description
Offer unlimited possibilities by inviting students to compose an 8-beat rhythmic ostinato. This flexible worksheet allows for multiple types of rhythms to be used. You may provide cards for students to choose from to scaffold the creation of a composition, or have them create their own cards or rhythms. Based in fractions by adding fractions of time together to equal the whole measure, this worksheet is great for aligning to Common Core Math Standards.
This product meets the following National Core Arts Standard for Music in 4th grade:
(MU:Cr2.1.4) Use standard and/or iconic notation and/or recording technology to document personal rhythmic, melodic, and simple harmonic musical ideas.
