I designed this to fit R.L 4.9 but realized it also fits with a 3rd grade standard 3.2 and 5th grade standard 5.9.

This product comes both printable and FULLY DIGITAL with google slides.

This product can be used in the classroom or at home! You are getting two products for the original price! I want you to be successful wether you are in the classroom, teaching from home, or have students doing both! The included Google Slides already have text boxes all inserted so there is no prep for you. Simply assign with google classroom or your online platform.

Included in the FULL WEEK OF LESSONS:

5 Day Lesson Outline: An at a glance pacing guide to give you an overview of a suggested schedule.

Day 1: Class will review key language arts skills needed for the week. An activity to review theme, compare/contrast, sequence, and characters traits included.

Day 2: Learn what a folktale is! Students will read Anansi the Spider (African Folktale) and the Tale of Coyote and Hen. Students will complete 4 different activities to go along with these stories. Graphic organizers included along with writing practice.

Day 3: Learn what a fable is! Students will read Coat for a Bride (Chinese Fable) and The Goat and the Wolf (Greek Fable.) Students will complete 4 different activities to go along with these stories. Do them all or mix and match! You can also differentiate by giving different activities and amounts to different leveled learners.

Day 4: Learn what a myth is! Students will read Thor's Hammer and Perseus and Medusa. Students will complete 4 different activities to go along with these stories.

Day 5: 3 Lesson options. I've included a theater skit option as well as a Review and writing option depending on the needs of your students. There are also 2 separate digital options included in the google slides version.
