Description

Teach your students how to use the greater than, less than, and equal to symbols to compare numbers using this alligator visual in a fun comparing numbers craft and hands-on math center or station. Alligators are embedded into the greater than, less than, and equal to signs to help students understand which symbol to use when comparing numbers. Students must use the alligators to complete the sentences while remembering that these alligators are HUNGRY and always want to eat the bigger group of fish!

This file includes both black and white and color printable pages. You can use these printables to create a craft or a fun hands-on math center or station. Students use the fish to show their hungry alligators always eating the greater number. Have students read the sentence to practice matching the symbols with the words. Students can also match the words "greater than" "less than" and "equal to" with the matching alligators as they create their sentences.
