My students enjoyed using this resource as part of our comparing and contrasting numbers unit. They turned out very cute.

Description

Comparing Numbers

Comparing Numbers Activity

K.CC.C.6-7

I Have More, I Have Less

Greater Than, Less Than

How Many In All

by Pam D'Alessandro

This is an activity that can be used for students to practice comparing numbers. It makes a nice finished product to display.

Print out one of the mats. (basket, bowl, hive) Print out the objects and let students color. Tell them to use 2 or 3 distinct colors. There are handouts for 2 colors or 3 colors. Let them roll dice with a partner to have fun with their colored objects and make addition problems. Then give them the handout and they can independently complete the project.

Students learn color words and counting skills. Color cards are included to help students become independent learners. Pictures clues are used on the counting pages.

Please feel free to use the Q&A section to let me know what you would like for me to add to this Comparing Numbers packet!
