Description

In this activity, students will identify whether the number of letters in their first name is greater than or less than the number of letters in their last name by coloring cubes and circling the name that has MORE letters. This activities is used to introduce standard K.CC.C.6.

For differentiation, I recommend providing struggling students with unifix cubes to physically compare the numbers and pushing proficient students to write the number of letters in each name and compare the numerals (K.CC.7).
