A printable resource that reinforces comparing fractions using visual strategies in addition to numeric strategies to build lasting student understanding. Comparing fractions is an essential math skill, but students can easily get confused with the different strategies if they are not taught in the right way! This packet is a flexible resource for teaching and practicing various methods for comparing fractions! This resource currently includes a total of 25 problem pages, as well as seven numberless templates for unlimited problems and detailed answer keys for each problem. Students of all ages have found this resource helpful in understanding what comparing fractions truly meant and looked like.

Ready to print and go, this resource has students solving each problem in three ways; using pictures, using number lines, and with numeric strategies, such as the butterfly strategy or converting fractions to have a common denominator.
