Description
This frame was developed, to help students learn a basic compare/ contrast 3 paragraph essay format.
After the initial teacher modeling (which is strongly suggested), the frame will allow most students to successfully write about the similarities and differences between two reading passages. Students fill in the requested information and select the appropriate words from the word boxes, to write and create complete sentences.
The frame can be used with multiple reading genres. Once students have become familiar with the basic set up and expectations, they can begin selecting and inserting their own words, stretching their word choice beyond those provided in the boxes.
