Community Helpers unit with lessons and supplements

Teacher created and used unit. SUPPLEMENTS INCLUDED! multiple intelligence unit. WOW ! 39 pages
This is a complete community helpers unit that is about 2 weeks long. It has options and modifications for a field trip and guest visitor. Options are also available with out these elements within the unit. This community helpers unit includes community helpers flash cards and posters, resources, supplements, essential questions, and all multiple intelligences are addressed in the included lessons (10 full lesson). Some resources incorporated, but not 100% necessary in the lessons that would be helpful to have are certain children books (referred to in unit, and access to YouTube). There is incorporation of an Active Board in 1 or 2 lessons, but options in case you do not have one. There are step by step details for teaching the entire unit, and the majority of supplements needed for the unit are also attached to the unit for you to print and make copies of. There is a matching test, and performance assessment as well. Included in this packet:
-table of contents
-complete list of materials needed
-essential questions, enduring understanding, standards, MIs
-step by step lessons (detailed-11 lessons)
-cover page and intro page for performance assessment "community helpers" book
- "community" and "helpers" colored signs
- community image flash cards
- image cards with names of community helpers
- coloring pages
- additional supplements and resources
Explanation of how to use supplements as well.
I will be creating an additional community helpers math and ELA thematic unit soon, as well as math and ELA worksheets and supplements related to this unit..so be on the lookout for that and you can incorporate it with this unit easily! However, this is a great unit for laying out the foundation of community helpers.
