Community Helper Project + rubrics included

This project packet was designed to have students go out and research a community helper in their life by conducting an interview. The packet was designed to be spread out, with different sections of the packet being due periodically throughout a set time span (I usually give my third graders about 2 weeks total). I usually check their packets the days when sections are due, sign them, and then write down and students who are missing them on those days, for when I grade as it is part of the grade. I left all of the spots for due dates blank, so the packet could be printed and written in and then copied, or it can be edited in.

There is a planning, writing and reflecting portion of this project. There are also different options to choose from on the way the students create and present their project. All of them include an interview, and presenting it to the class on the final due date.

This was meant for a third grade social studies class, but can be used for grades 1-3. Possibly fourth.
