Description

This data collection document uses the Common Core State Standards for both Language Arts and Math at the kindergarten level. We have created this tool, to help you break down each standard per trimester. The class checklist can easily be placed on a clipboard for you to monitor your students on a daily basis collecting notes on their mastery towards meeting the standard. Or done electronically on a device, since it is created in Excel.

We have also included a Body of Evidence document that you can use to communicate your student’s progress to parents. This document can be highlighted at the proficiency band that the student is currently working at. It gives specific details about what the student has mastered, is needing more time working on or is able to do at a higher level with descriptors so that parents can know the difference between mastery levels.

We have Trimester 1 available for Kindergarten and are currently working on Trimesters 2 and 3.

This document is a collaboration between Christianson's Classroom and V. Topkis

Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
