Description

This Color of Vegetables Matching Activity is the second in a series of products focusing on the importance of colors in food.

Teach your children from an early age the importance of the colors of vegetables for good nutrition.

Teach color identification and help your children become familiar with the variety of delicious vegetables available to eat.

In addition to basic matching for younger kids, you can have your older kids do the cutting. You can also assign your kids to put the vegetable matches in a poster type display or bulletin board. (See example from “Colors of Fruit” kit.)

UPDATE 4/28/22 - Easel Activity Sheets added for enhanced, digital learning.

Check my latest bundle which includes this product plus LOTS more.

Your middle school and older can turn it into a research project. They can research what makes carrots orange, for example. Or your middle and high school kids can create a recipe using one or more of the vegetables. Another interesting activity would be to create a free nutrition facts label using My Fitness Pal.

Includes:

Color words (example: the word “YELLOW” is typed in “YELLOW” and is surrounded by a “YELLOW” square. This word would match any YELLOW colored vegetable picture).

Color vegetable name words (example: CARROT word is ORANGE and would match with ORANGE CARROT picture).
