What educators are saying

This was exactly the bulletin board items I was searching for my classroom! As students have dropped by to look at my classroom, they were amazed at the colors. I love all the vocabulary! Thanks so much!

Description

Ready for a color wheel bulletin board that beats those boring, store-bought color wheel posters? Those don’t excite elementary art kids learning about color theory. Get ready to amp up art room engagement!

For 20 years, I used those posters in my art room and not one student ever exclaimed how awesome my color wheel bulletin board was. Nor were they excited to learn about color families or cared to refer to them while working.

However, once I displayed my new color wheel – glitter paints and all – I received rave reviews from all my students! It’s quickly become an art room favorite.

Now when I teach color theory, the size of the paint tubes helps students recall the difference between primary and secondary colors.

Big tubes, primary. Small tubes, secondary.

And those cute paint splatters are tertiary colors. I like to say they're made from mixing an adjacent big and a small tube together.

In addition, I use the color palettes to talk about how colors belong to different groups. Seeing all the color palettes really helps my students understand that they have so many options when it comes to pairing colors. Now, they're much more curious how to pronounce words like analogous and monochromatic. And they want to mix them, too!

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This color wheel was even more helpful than I expected....ALL OF my students, PK-5 prefer to go up to this color wheel rather than our 'more traditional' one that was in the room when I inherited it. So happy (and thankful) for this resource! :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love having this as a fun reference for the color wheel! The paint palettes are so fun to have up and are a great reminder for students with examples.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a great way to review the concepts of the color wheel! It is colorful and cheery and really good sized for the classroom that I have.
