Color Coded Multiplication Program 2x 3x 4x

OK…the kids have a good grasp of the concept of multiplication and understand what multiplication is all about…but have they memorized the multiplication facts? You know that’s a requirement of the Common Core Standards, so do you need something to help your students with recall and automaticity?

The Color Coded Multiplication program is a research-based system that is used to improve multiplication fact fluency. The success of this program is due to its many aspects, but the main premise of the use of color to enhance learning is the most effective aspect of the CCM. Color is the key to improving attention, retrieval, retention, and recall of the multiplication facts. The human brain has a remarkable way of remembering colored images…so why not use this innate skill to help us with our schoolwork? The CCM works great when introducing the facts AND for RTI. Lessons/activities are short (10-15 mins.). Tutors and classroom paras find the program convenient and easy to use. Instead of memorizing 100+ facts, all the students need to know are the associations between 10 colors and 10 numerical digits.
