What educators are saying

As an educator for 20 plus years, I found this purchase to be beneficial for my kiddos. I used this during class instruction, small group and stations. Thank you so much!
Such a perfect mix of social studies and writing. This was the best way to end my 1st SS unit and continue pushing my students in writing.

Description

Looking for a way to make your narrative writing lessons more fun? You and your students will love this Colonial America Narrative Writing Project! If your kids are anything like mine, they love writing from other perspectives. This project asks students to write from the perspective of a Colonial Tradesman or Woman living in the English Colonies. Students are asked to research and fill in multiple graphic organizers and note-catchers to help them eventually write a historically accurate depiction of what it was like to live in Colonial times and to help others just making the trip to their new home. One of the major points of this project is to help students develop characterization in their writing. Students are asked to write about the background of their characters, including many character emotions and traits. This is a FUN and engaging way to incorporate U.S. History into your narrative writing lessons!
