What educators are saying

Interesting sci-fi script that didn't require much set and had few characters so my GTs could plan out the whole thing. Would recommend.

Description

Collision Course (based on The Signal Control by Wadsworth Camp) adapted to play format by Kathy Applebee is an 11 page, 3 scene script for 1 female, 3 males, 3 either. Script can be used as a reader’s theater or performance piece. Run Time: 20-22 minutes. Can be done using the Jigsaw method in class. It is an ideal piece to teach conflict in literature since several types appear in the plot.

The 14 pages of projects and prompts provide opportunities for the teacher to choose, the students to interact with the text and work on various projects, writing and discussion prompts, warm ups and exit tickets. The rubric helps assess. Prompts include making choices, conflict, writing an additional scene, costuming, set design and other theater related projects.
