Description
With the national student debt at $1.75 trillion (2023), it is more important than ever that students understand the huge investment that is a college education. This activity has students identify a career, calculate the cost of college, and then calculate various loan repayment options. They will evaluate the cost of avoiding scholarship applications or failing a class in college.
This project takes about two 1-hour class periods for students to complete but offers many more discussion and extension opportunities.
