Collection of Paragraph Assessment Stories (Latin I)

This is a collection of 8 paragraph-long stories that I have included on my Latin I tests this year. I replaced the sentence translation section on most of my tests with these this year, because I feel like a connected paragraph shows a student's true translation ability more accurately, and I was pleased overall with the result. My students seemed to find them less frustrating too. The are organized from early in the year (easier vocab, shorter length) to the end of the year (longer, more complicated grammar) and labeled by unit (1st declension nouns, imperfect tense, etc). Some vocabulary is glossed under each paragraph. You could use these as a test section or else just for some extra sight reading practice in class or on a study guide. Many of the stories have kind of a quirky ending to prevent students from just guessing what will happen.
