Collaboration rubric for students to self-evaluate their participation

Based on Building Thinking Classroom in Mathematics (BTC) students are asked to create their own rubric on which they will be evaluated during group work. This template can be either printed beforehand and then completed by hand or edited in power point before printing.

I would suggest to discuss with students what they feel are the important competencies to evaluate them on and then each student/group gets a copy to complete after group work. The teacher can pick certain groups/students to evaluate but each student/group will complete a form.

For evaluation students will highlight parts of the arrow they feel they fall in for each competency. Students can highlight a wider range which can span from one to the other column.
