Explain what “collaboration” means: “Being able to collaborate means that you are capable of communicating positively, while working with others and solving problems.”

Provide students with examples of sentences that use the word in different contexts: 

o By using the internet, scientists from different countries can easily collaborate. 

o My classmates and I spent all day collaborating on our science project. 

o All of the scout troops in the city will collaborate to collect over a million cans of food for the holiday food drive. 

o Singers from many different musical genres will collaborate on a song to raise money for cancer research.
