THINGS TO NOTE:
This product can be edited to fit 1st-5th grade classrooms bur is BEST for 2nd-3rd grade. You will want to modify to suit the rigor of your learners. A separate version of this product is sold with less resources that are easier to edit for older grades.

Materials can be edited for ANY grade, but some activities will be harder to edit than others. Pictures and examples will guide you through each step.
Some items in this bundle require editing (to personalize) in Microsoft PowerPoint. These editable files WILL NOT be editable in Google Slides because Google does not support custom fonts. Do not try to edit within these platforms, as the formatting will not load correctly. PDFS are also included for you to use the resource without editing.
Further, all documents have fonts embedded. This was done so you can edit easily with the same fonts. Mac users will need to download fonts to edit.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
- Full PowerPoint AND Google Slideshow (made with PowerPoint, PDF also included as well as the link to the Google Slides) Google Slides are not fully editable due to the custom fonts used.

ACTIVITIES:
GRAMMAR:
- "Edit the Menu" Language Activity (Fixing/Editing spelling, punctuation, grammar)
WRITING:
- "Writing Menu"/"Earn your Iced Latte" Poetry Writing Activity (Edit the writing prompt to suit your needs in PowerPoint. Students choose a writing prompt and can "earn" their latte by completing various steps in the process.)
MATH:
- "Unlock the Cash Box" Math Activity: A four-step mission to solve the clues to find the key! (set for 2nd-3rd grade, two versions included for final step.)
SCIENCE:
- "Get the Order Right" Science or Social Studies Activity (to be paired with whatever content you are currently teaching! Edit the slides to fit what you need.)
READING:
- "Book Tasting" Review Rotations: Students visit different tables to get a "taste" of each book during their allotted time. They fill out a Book Tasting Review page giving each book a rating and filling out additional info about their text (three template options provided.)
- "Level Up: Coffee Knowledge Training" Google Form: A break-out style activity where students must use an online article (and it's text features) to answer questions. Student cannot "level up" in their training until everything is correct in their current level (the form will not let them move on.)
- "Make the Recipe" Close Reading/Following Directions Activity (***TO BE PAIRED WITH THE STORY "Jalapeno Bagel", a café themed read aloud!) Two versions included (easy and hard.)
SOCIAL STUIDES:
- "Add to the Menu": Economics Activity. Students create a new menu item to be added to the café menu! Students design a pitch showcasing their new product. Students gallery walk and vote on which item should be added.
