Close Reading - Prove it!, Show Your Thinking!, Just the Facts! Close Reading Checklists, Bookmarks, and MORE!

Students are to write down their thoughts, collect facts, gather important vocabulary, and discuss and teach others about what they have learned. Students should be able to prove their thinking using evidence from the text.

Whether the students use highlighters, underline in the text, or use sticky notes or graphic organizers to “show” their thinking, getting a deeper understanding of the text is our goal.
