Description

Perfect for Social Studies, Language Arts, Reading, Debate, and Public Speaking classes! This lesson guides students through reading and analyzing the first amendment, what is protected speech and unprotected speech. Students examine the actual amendment, sample political cartoons, and two Landmark Supreme Court cases. To culminate the lesson, students conduct further research on the First Amendment in schools to create their own political cartoon to show mastery of the material!
