Description

free-alphabet-clip-cards

Alphabet clip cards will allow children to practice letter discrimination skills as they match uppercase letters with the appropriate lowercase letters. This set includes the entire alphabet from the letter A to the letter Z! This center is designed to support instruction with the kindergarten Common Core Foundational Skill for recognizing and naming all uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet. If you teach in the state of Virginia, the same requirement is within the kindergarten English (2010) strand for reading which is standard k.7-a.

There are four clip cards on each printable page. They are approximately 4 x 5 inches. The uppercase letters are shown in the large sections of the cards with three lowercase letters shown on the right side of the cards. Students use clothespins to clip the cards at the location of the correct lowercase letters.

Educational clip cards are quick and easy to make. They are excellent learning centers for students. They become self-checking when the appropriate answers are marked on the backs of the cards. Use a highlighter or small stickers to do that. Their preparation is minimal and requires just a few supplies which include cardstock paper, clothespins, scissors, and access to a printer with black ink!
