Climate Change and Global Warming Bundle for Middle School

This unit is a great way to get your students actively involved in learning about climate change and global warming. This set of activities covers the causes and effects of climate change by completing hands on activities and studying real world data. This unit is aligned to NGSS standard MS-ESS3-5, but fits in with other states standards too.

Alined to NGSS Standard MS-ESS3-5:

Ask questions to clarify evidence of the factors that have caused the rise in global temperatures over the past century.

What’s included?

Climate Change CER - Students graph and analyze temperature data from the last 100 years to see our climate is getting warmer. Students then write a scientific argument with Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning using an included text to explain why our climate is getting warmer.

Climate Change and Global Warming Activities - Graphic notes, 2 hands on experiments, and a real world data analysis activity to learn about the causes and effects of climate change.

Climate Change Escape Room - Students review the causes and effects of climate change using an engaging escape room format.

Climate Change Study Guide and Test - Study guide and Test covering causes and effects of climate change. Includes both print and digital forms (fully editable)

Climate Change Take Action Project - Students choose between 3 different projects to take action to educate others about climate change at the individual level (home), the community level (at school), or take it to the national level.
