Classroom Management Plan (Baseball/Softball Theme) - Smart Notebook format

Mrs. G.'s Complete Classroom Management Plan has two major focuses: a warning and consequence system for individual students and a whole-class reward system.
The individual behavior management plan is called "Stop, Think, Take Action." It encourages students to take responsibility and control over their choices. It uses a traffic light color pattern to reinforce the slowing down to think before continue acting.
The whole-class reward system (The Home Run Derby) has a baseball theme, and links positive whole-class behavior and participation with rewards.
I have developed and been implementing this in my classroom for 6 years, using trial and error to improve it into a program that works with every class, every time. This plan works because it puts the responsibility for student behavior and choices on the students. It's fair and not about the teacher. They can see a direct connection between positive choices and positive rewards, as well as between negative choices and negative consequences.
