HOW TO USE THIS RESOURCE

One of the best parts of my classroom management system is that it runs itself. This resource includes everything you need to start using a classroom economy in your classroom. It includes money, checks, and record keeping forms to keep everything organized.

I have include some example classroom jobs and descriptions. In addition, there are pages for living expenses, bonuses and awards, as well as fines.

This resource is great for any grade above 3rd grade. It could work in second grade, but would need to be more teacher lead.

In my classroom economy, I pass out $1 dollar bills all the time. If someone is meeting my expectations, I give them a dollar. There are many times throughout the day, that I pass a dollar out to everyone for doing the right thing. I recommend having 500+ $1 bills in circulation for a class of 30 students.

I have also included examples of when students can earn more. In my own classroom economy, every student has a job. They all earn $50 a month as long as their job is getting done. One job in my classroom economy is as simple as wiping down the top of the bookshelves. I have students do everything. If you notice something needing to be done, make it a class job! In addition, you should set aside 10 minutes a day for “jobs,” I put a timer up on the projector. During this time, banks open, pencils get sharpened, and all counters and shelves get wiped down everyday.

THIS CLASS WORKS! Classroom Economy Jobs Bulletin Board Display! This resources includes 30 pre-made job photo display cards as well as 30 (with the same photo) complete EDITABLE job cards! You can add your own jobs or use the ones I have included! Job Applications are also included with this resource!

Editable PDF and PowerPoint Included!

You can edit this resource with students’ names to personalize. You could also delete the student name text boxes and print with just the job name. After you have printed and laminated the cards, you can use dry erase marker to write students names, and use the cards again and again (or to have students switch jobs)!

I have also included bulletin board letters that say "THIS CLASS WORKS!" in a solid black version as well as a black outline to print onto colored paper.
