What educators are saying

Great Resource! I used this for review when I had a sub. Kids reported that they really enjoyed this.
My kids used this Google Slides activity while I was on a trip and needed something engaging for the sub. I loved this activity and the kids loved it, too.

Description

Learn about properties of quadrilaterals and geometry with these engaging digital activities! Students explore the hierarchy of 2 dimensional shapes to determine what properties make each quadrilateral special. Students interact with Google Slides using movable pieces, text boxes, and drawing tools. Differentiation options are provided. Please see the preview for specific examples of this digital resource.

Students identify properties of parallelograms, squares, rectangles, trapezoids, rhombuses, and kites. Then they draw or select 2 dimensional shapes that match the criteria.

Hierarchy - Classify shapes into a hierarchy based on characteristics of each shape. Students identify the name of the shape and provide examples to complete the hierarchy.

Evaluate statements such as "A trapezoid is always a quadrilateral" (true) or "A rectangle is always a square" (false).

Understand that attributes belonging to a category of two-dimensional figures also belong to all subcategories of that category. For example, all rectangles have four right angles and squares are rectangles, so all squares have four right angles.
