What educators are saying

This was a great resource because it was very easy for my students to follow and they liked referring back to the graphic organizer.
This foldable is one that my students refer back to often. They like the ability to not only have the visual but also includes the definitions and practice .

Description

This editable foldable organizes the classification of numbers within the real number system. I have the students write the definition or use set notation on the back of each tab. On the inside of the foldable, there is a Venn Diagram, which provides students with another representation of the each of the sets of numbers and their relationship to one another. We also include examples of each set inside of the Venn Diagram.

An answer key is included!

Includes a print + go PDF version and an editable PowerPoint version to edit for use with your students, as you see fit.

Know that numbers that are not rational are called irrational. Understand informally that every number has a decimal expansion; for rational numbers show that the decimal expansion repeats eventually, and convert a decimal expansion which repeats eventually into a rational number.
Explain why the sum or product of two rational numbers is rational; that the sum of a rational number and an irrational number is irrational; and that the product of a nonzero rational number and an irrational number is irrational.
