Civil Rights in America Bundle (Starting with African American Experience)

In this bundle students are exposed to the Vicious Cycle, Pyramid of Hate, scenarios to help understand race dilemmas in America. The focus begins with the African American fight for civil rights and how that movement inspired other groups to evaluate and fight for change.

Students Tasks Include: Primary source documents, presentation topics, film sheets, research tasks, scenarios, roleplay activities, and more. This unit is designed to make students think about the impact of the past on present day issues.

Area of Focus: African American, Gay Rights, Women, Disability Civil Rights, Asian, Chicano and Native American.
