What educators are saying

This resource was engaging and allowed my students to be independent and successful. I enjoy seeing my students enjoy learning and this resource helped them. The think about it questions encouraged thinking and discussion that my students are usually hesitant to participate in.
The kids were really interested in the Civil Rights Movement, so this was perfect to go in depth about the topic. I loved the guided notes and so did my students!

Description

This Civil Rights Movement Lesson is the perfect activity to add to your social studies classroom! The lesson also includes a Civil Rights Timeline to help students understand the important events. It includes important people like Dr. Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks and important events like the March on Washington during the Civil Rights Movement.

  • The PowerPoint Lesson is visually engaging and includes many pictures, video links, and thought-provoking questions! I use it to teach my fifth graders about this concept, but it is appropriate for older students as well.
  • This lesson includes 7 pages of guided notes that students can use to follow along while you teach. The Guided Notes come in both a printable and digital version for use with Google Classroom.

This Civil Rights Lesson Covers the Following Topics:
