Civics Independent Study packet/project for High Schoolers, * Distance Learning

The I'm a Big Boy/Girl Now Project is a civics project that I use for my students every summer (can be used to supplement any unit as well). This project runs about a month and is self paced. You need just one class period to explain project, then students do the rest themselves. Enjoy a month off (figuratively), while the students scramble to complete each section. The project is made up of 5 sections including: Becoming an Adult, Job Exploration, College Ready, Transportation and Auto Responsibility, and Finance Essentials. All five sections are broken up into subsections and relate to things that all graduating high school students will be facing. I live in California, but it can apply across the board to most all states. The answers and exercises are all very easy and your only role as an instructor is to monitor student's progress. **Document is a Google Doc and spacing looks funny, but it is that way to accommodate for PDF printing, can be rearranged.
