I used this as a starting point to teach Citizen Kane, which I had never taught before. It helped me structure my thoughts on the movie and walk students through it in my Film as Lit class.
Description
This product is a Study Guide for Citizen Kane directed by Orsen Wells. The guide has sections and activities on:
• Background to the film and its director: Orson Welles. Objective: Students discuss and evaluate the ways in which the set work has been read, received and valued in historical and other contexts.
• A synopsis of the film. Objective: Students explore the ideas expressed in the text through analysing its construction, content and language. They examine how particular features of the text contribute to textual integrity.
