Description
Citing evidence from a text is an important component of Common Core ELA Standards.
These "Anchor Your Answers in the Text" posters give your students guidelines for why we cite evidence, and two ways to provide evidence:
*paraphrasing
*using direct quotes
Several sentence starters for students to use as they practice are also provided.
I print out each page separately in color, on cardstock, and laminate them to hang on the board or bulletin board. I copy them and make them double-sided for my students to keep in their Language Arts binders. They take them out whenever we are focusing on citing evidence.
These will certainly make an eye-catching display in your classroom!
Happy teaching!
