Thank you for buying this resource “Biomedical Engineers, The Circulatory System”. This is a project based and problem based unit that focuses on the circulatory system. The unit is geared towards STEM and immersing your students in real life learning and practical applications which will prepare them for the 21st Century. It is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core.

Students will take a journey into Biomedical Engineering, they will see what it is like to design, create and build artificial organs for the circulatory system.

Students will learn about the key structures of the Circulatory System, their function and how they could design and build organs that can save the life of those who are in desperate need of organ transplants.

Students will compete with their designs and knowledge to secure a position at BioCorp Biomedical Engineering.

This resource will engage and motivate your students, forcing them to problem solve, evaluate, think critically and reflect.

Students will learn with a purpose and goal, which will prepare them for real life situations and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

This unit contains teacher guides, information, a PowerPoint Presentation and a student Project Pack which includes, activities, graphic organizers, worksheets challenges and rubrics.
