Description
The Circles bundle includes 9 guided/scaffolded notes resources. Topics covered include: basic circle vocabulary and equations, arc types and measure, circumference and arc length, arcs and chords, inscribed angles, area and sector area, secants and tangents, special segments in circles, and the equation of a circle. Each resource includes diagrams, essential vocabulary, equations, guided examples, and answer keys.
Also included in each zip folder is an mp4 video file recording of the lesson. This is a zoom recording of my screen as I teach through the lesson notes. All audio and worked out examples are included within the video. This would be a great resource for an online class, a flipped classroom, while you have a sub, or just as a re-teaching resource for students to use.
The bundle also includes a Circles Word Wall with all of the primary vocabulary for circles along with pictures to use as a word wall in your classroom. Vocabulary includes: center, chord, radius, diameter, arcs, central angle, sectors, inscribed angles, arc length and sector area, semicircle, tangent, secant, and more. These word walls are extremely valuable in helping students to understand vocabulary for the unit and give students a visual of the terms used for circles. This is also a great resource to aide students who are EL or have other specific learning needs.
