What educators are saying

This was a good resource for my students to use for sub plans. When I came back to work, the students told me that they learned something new that they did not know before. I would recommend this resource to teachers as a sub plan.
Our 8th graders are currently reading All Quiet on the Western Front. This was a great resource to help make cross-curricular connections.

Description

The Christmas truce was a series of widespread, unofficial ceasefires that took place along the Western Front around Christmas 1914, during World War I.

This internet hunt gives your students background information as they read and answer questions about the circumstances and events that surround this interesting event. During the search they use a variety of strategies and skills that will prepare them to do research using the internet.

This is a great way to increase your students' ability to use technology as part of their whole learning experience.

I added an Easel version of this webquest. I made the links active within Easel and provided answer boxes for your students. You can assign it from Google classroom or from Easel. I did not include the word find. It can be found in the pdf with the key.
